That will cause the fuel pump to cycle each time and build pressure in the process. The next time it won't start do this: Turn the ignition switch from "ON" to "OFF" position (skipping the "start" position) about a dozen times. Lloyd1wv wrote:I'm suspecting a weak fuel pump -or- a bad fuel pump relay. I recently had the alternator and battery replaced. I then tried starting it again and had no problems. Once I finally got the truck started I turned the truck off. This problem only happens after the truck has been sitting for a few hours. Then all of a sudden after about 10 falied attempts I turned the key and it started. I would turn the key and the engine would turn and I thought it would start but it did not. This morning it took over 15 minutes for the truck to start. When you turn the key what exactly happens? Does the engine turn but just doens't start? Be specific so they can get strait to the point and save you time.I'll try to be more clear. There are some real talented people on here. More specifics or better discriptions of your problem can help some of the techs to help out. If it turns over normally maybe a fuel problem. What is going on is guys are trying to break it down to find out if it is a electrical problem like a battery weak and not turning over fast enough or not enough voltage to fire the electronics.
